OP: Conis and Suu Inked

Update 12/25/08: Coloured version.

Woot. I inkded the Conis and Suu sketch [link].

I think my inking's improving! I'm pretty decently pleased with this. I tried to go for a lighter, more detailed inking style than I've tried before. Less variation in line width, more details. I think I like it -- the style seems to suit the femininity/cuteness. However, I think I rather like my bolder style that I'd used on my "Bring It" Iceburg and Franky pic, and on the one with floppy Franky hair. I need to develop that style some more, but I think it's disctinctive, and since I think I have very little in the way of a distinctive style, I'll cling to all the uniqueness I can get

Aaaanyway. I screwed up the inking right proper in a few places, but I think it's okay overall. The most major change between this and the pencil sketch is the size of Suu's tail. I realized after I'd finished the sketch that it was supposed to be like, 5 times bigger than I had it originally. Also, Conis is mostly in the One Piece style, but Suu isn't. I guess maybe that's kind of my style there. Who knows.

I'm pretty proud of the hair. I'm always terrified of doing so many lines so close together, but I went for it. I think I overdid it a bit, considerng Conis is supposed to be blonde, but I'm proud that I tried.

Favourite part: the top part of the turtleneck where you can see the ribbing dip all along the top line, and the little fold caused by the weight of the zipper. Yeeaaaaah
